The Hypnotherapy Academy of America (where I attended school!) has made a remarkable milestone in hypnotherapy. A year-long study funded by the National Institutes of Health confirms that the academy's unique method of hypnotherapy is as effective and sometimes superior to the standard drug therapy treatment of Overactive Bladder Syndrome (OAB) / Urinary Urgency Incontinence (UUI).

This 2007 medical study found that breast cancer surgery patients who used hypnosis - required far less propofol and lidocaine before surgery; experienced far less pain intensity; experienced far less emotional upset; left the operating room 15 minutes sooner than other lumpectomy patients; and saved the institution an average of $772 per patient.
